  2. HI MARY, I MAKE A COOKIE AT CHRISTMAS TIME, IT IS CALL CUCIDATA (ILALIAN FIG COOKIE FROM SICILY) DO YOU THINK THAT MIGHT BE WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR?

  3. I never found either recipe. If you have them, can you forward to me?

    Thanks so much.

    Mary

  4. I just found this site looking for a recipe for Torte de San Ginese.
Did mary ever find a recipe? There is a recipe in the Sunset Magazine Italian Cookbook from 1971. My mother who is now 88 still makes this pie at Christmas and it is a local only dessert from San Ginese region.

  5. I believe that it is a Tuscan recipe, I’ll take a look. Occhidotti, no, I never found it, I’m not sure if the spelling is correct

  6. did you ever find the recipe for occhidotti? Now I’m looking for another one…. Torte De San Ginese. Some of the most important ingredients are: Amaretti cookies, day-old bread, bourbon, raisins, pine nuts, chocolate

  7. This is a wonderful site. The pictures are exquisite and so are the recipes.

  8. I’m not sure, but it was either Campania or Sicily.

  9. What region was your grandmother from? So many recipes are specific not only to regions, but also to towns, so it may be difficult to find. But if you were able to tell me where she was from I could do a little research and see if I could come up with something.

  10. I’m looking for a cookie recipe that my grandmother made when I was a child. No one wrote down or found her recipe. I don’t know if I’m spelling it right, but I’ll give it a try. It’s occhidotti. Can you help me?

    Thanks,

    Mary
