Mure delle Pietre Secche

I’m off my foods, off, no desire to taste or try anything. Six weeks of restaurants and I am over it. Everything is so rich, has so much flavor and lacks everything that this body needs. I never thought that I would be over eating out, it was always such a great pleasure, one of my favorite things to do, but I can’t take it anymore. We all came down with the stomach flu last week, spaced out over the week, thankfully, so we could take care of one another, but ever since I have just wanted to fast… but then I get hungry. I am remedying this problem by paying a visit to my mother-in-law, she has a tendency to over feed us, but it will be a wonderful respite from the gluttony that I have been experiencing.

I crave things like delicious green salads, scrambled eggs with dry toast, and mountains of sauteed greens. Greens, greens, greens.

These photographs may look like a prelude to the rocks in my stomach, but I thought since I didn’t want to think about food, I would do a post in photographs with some whining between shots. These are dry rock walls and they decorate the landscape in Puglia. Gorgeous. They are plowed from the earth and placed on top of one another as an old way of dividing the land, but this old way is still used today.
